🎯 Reliable!? Until it Isn't!
The Idea: Reliability Bias
Dave’s Take: This is when you demand that ideas or plans will work before you even begin. This usually plays out by putting people in a position where they recycle old ideas and approaches again and again, no matter what.
Why?
Because of the comfort of reliability.
The only truth here is that there is no such thing as something that is 100% reliable.
Why?
Because the future is 100% brand new and by asking for only solutions that have already been proven, you are betting that the future will look just like the past.
That’s not a very good bet…if you ask me.
